On behalf of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, we have decided to shut down the educational resource and website, Beyond The Shock.
For nearly a decade, Beyond The Shock has helped millions of people around the world. It started out as a safe and reliable place to learn about breast cancer, ask questions and get answers, and hear real stories from survivors. Over the years, it grew into a community of support.
Today, people access information and build communities in different ways. Breast cancer is also changing – how it’s diagnosed, staged, and treated. As a result, it has been a challenge for us to keep up.
We are sad to sunset Beyond The Shock, but we know this refocus will help us be more effective and serve more people.
The good news is that our main website, www.nbcf.org, will continue to provide vital breast cancer information and is more easily adaptable – an important feature in our changing times.
Here are a few of the things you can do to stay connected via nbcf.org:
- Learn about breast cancer, including early detection, diagnosis and treatment, here.
- Browse our free educational guides here.
- Become an NBCF Community Ambassador and support others through their breast cancer journey.
- Watch educational videos on Beyond The Shock: Video Series.
If you have any questions or are interested in being connected with us in a different way, please send us a note at [email protected].
