An ongoing partnership helps raise funds and improve breast cancer awareness
In commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Badia Spices, one of the fastest-growing family-owned Hispanic food companies, has renewed its partnership with National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc.® (NBCF). Through this partnership, Badia Spices helps expand awareness for breast cancer while raising funds to support the foundation’s mission of Helping Women Now® through early detection, education, and support services.
Badia manufactures, packages, and distributes spices, seasoning blends, marinades, sauces, teas, organic and health items, and many other products to more than 90 countries around the world and nationwide. As part of the partnership, Badia’s Garlic Powder features the NBCF logo and 5% of all sales are donated to the foundation.
With the support of its consumer, Badia Spices has raised more than $1.2 million since the partnership began in 2011. The ongoing initiative has helped women with educational resources, detection, and renewed hope with HOPE Kits. Badia Spices is proud to be a Circle Hope Partner.
“Breast Cancer affects all of us, through our partnership with National Breast Cancer Foundation, my family and I hope to unite and inspire our consumers to help us make a lasting impact on improving health care”, said Joseph “Pepe” Badia, President, Badia Spices.
National Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 1991 by breast cancer survivor, Janelle Hail. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1980 at the age of 34. At the time of her diagnoses, there was little information about the disease, and she was forced to make a decision about her health with few options. After her treatment, Janelle committed to helping women by educating them about breast cancer and the importance of early detection. Breast cancer is one of the leading health crises for women in the United States. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. There is currently no known cure for breast cancer, and its early diagnosis is critical to survival.
