“Located at the heart of AHWM’s hospital campus, the Cecilia Gonzalez De La Hoya Cancer Center is designed to provide comprehensive cancer care for the diverse community in East Los Angeles. In order to fulfill our mission of ‘health, wholeness, hope,’ we provide free bilingual breast cancer support groups and an early detection program for those with no health plan coverage. Patient Navigation is a critical component of this effort, ensuring that patients and their families receive quality, compassionate follow-up care. The Nurse Navigator works closely with patients to coordinate ongoing care, identify critical resources, and guide them through any insurance or financial issues.
