January 5th, 2022 — AMN Healthcare, the nation’s leader in providing staffing and workforce solutions for healthcare organizations across the nation, has continued its partnership with National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) by donating $60,000 in support of its mission of Helping Women Now.
Earlier this year, AMN Healthcare wanted to show appreciation to the thousands of healthcare professionals who supported the country during the pandemic’s peak. They launched an initiative to reward AMN healthcare professionals for their outstanding service while enhancing their ability to support health research, community, advocacy, and other vital causes.
For each healthcare professional that worked 1,000 hours or more for AMN Healthcare clients in the first half of 2021, AMN responded with a $1,000 personal bonus plus a commitment to donate $1,000 on their behalf to a charity of their personal choice. NBCF is grateful to the clinicians that directed their donations to help directly support women and families when they need it most.
“Our clinicians not only provide amazing care to help patients heal, but they also go above and beyond to better the lives of those in need and support the nursing profession,” said Susan Salka, President and CEO of AMN Healthcare. “Our program rewards their hard work and supports their spirit of generosity and giving. We are very grateful and honored for their service to patients and the community.”
The donations reflect the strong philanthropic culture of AMN Healthcare. The company, its corporate team members, and healthcare professionals give back to the communities they serve in a variety of ways, including corporate sponsorships, charitable giving, volunteering, scholarships, in-kind donations, gift-matching, and grant-making.
