Critical Environments Group (CEG), a leading provider of data center and IT environment infrastructure optimization solutions, is pleased to announce its partnership with National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). In addition to a donation, CEG will show support during the month of October by going pink on its website and social media accounts. Regular social media posts will also be made throughout the month and year to increase awareness of detection and support resources.
Breast cancer continues to be one of the leading health crises for women in the United States. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. NBCF’s mission is to help women affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services. More than 80% of NBCF’s proceeds go right back into their programs which provide help to women at every step of the breast cancer journey.
The $5,000 in funding provided by CEG has the ability to help 33 women receive a screening service, such as a mammogram, and access to care without fear of cost, or support 50 women on their breast cancer journey to receive strength and encouragement at a support group meeting, or even equip 2500 women with breast health resources that help educate on critical self-exam training to detect breast cancer at its earliest stage.
“Sadly, many of our employees have either been personally affected by breast cancer or have a loved one who has battled it,” says Mike McClain, Chief Executive Officer of CEG. “National Breast Cancer Foundation does an outstanding job of providing help to and inspiring hope in those affected by breast cancer in the communities where we live and work. We’re proud to align ourselves with this organization and do what we can to make a difference.”
