September 25, 2014 – MADISON HEIGHTS, MI – Hungry Howie’s Pizza, a top-ten American pizza concept, continues its commitment to Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the ‘Love, Hope & Pizza’ campaign. During the month of October at all Hungry Howie’s Pizza locations, pizza will be served in a light pink box embellished with the National Breast Cancer Foundation logo.
Additionally, for every pizza sold and for every story of love, hope and inspiration that is shared via social media; every new Facebook fan; and every photo tagged with #LOVEHOPEPIZZA; Hungry Howie’s Pizza will make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Fans of the brand also have the ability to purchase a Love, Hope & Pizza t-shirt online for $15.99, a rubber bracelet for $1 or a reusable shopping bag for $2 with all proceeds going directly to the fight against breast cancer. Hungry Howie’s Pizza has already raised more than $1,000,000 for breast cancer research over the last five years, and hopes to increase that number to $1,300,000 this year.
“Hungry Howie’s Pizza has received an overwhelmingly wonderful response over the last five years from the Love, Hope & Pizza campaign, and it has become a fundamental part of our brand,” said Rob Elliott, vice president of strategic marketing at Hungry Howie’s Pizza. “Hungry Howie’s Pizza is proud to have contributed more than $1,000,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to support early detection, education and treatment for a disease that impacts millions of families worldwide.”
“Hungry Howie’s Pizza has put their heart and soul into Love, Hope & Pizza,” said Janelle Hail, founder and CEO of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. “The funds they’ve raised have provided tens of thousands of free early detection services for women in need in all 50 states.”
